Introduction
The Department of Theater Arts was established in 1963. It is one of the first 15 departments of the Chinese Culture University, and it is also the first one in the history of Taiwan’s theater education. In 1971, it was restructured into the Film and Theater division of the Department of Drama. On the basis of the original drama courses, film courses were added. In 1999, it was reorganized back into the Department of Theater Arts until now. Our teachers are all excellent creative talents in Taiwan, and also have rich teaching experience. Professional courses include theory, performance, directing, screenwriting, theater design and technology, art and theater administration, and applied drama. Students can choose courses according to their interests and career development.
